Madis Järvekülg

Madis Järvekülg is a junior research fellow at the Centre of Excellence in Media Innovation and Digital Culture (MEDIT) and a doctoral student at the Baltic, Film, Media, Arts and Communication School (BFM) in Tallinn University. His research examines the critical discourse on music in digital social networks and its relation to the system of music production in Estonia.

Madis has contributed to the research projects on Estonian arts journalism, the reputation of the Estonian film industry and Estonian media policy. He holds an MA degree in journalism from the University of Tartu and has studied the sociology and aesthetics of music in the University of Leeds. Previously he has worked as an editor and music critic for Estonian Public Broadcasting.
