Brigita Beniušytė
Brigita Beniušytė has been actively working in the film industry for more than ten years. After working on several feature films as a freelance producer, she joined the film production company M-Films in 2017 as a junior producer. Since 2022, Brigita has been working as a producer and associate producer at M-Films. Together with Marija Razgutė, she produced the short film HAPPY NEXT YEAR! (dir. Lukas Kacinauskas, Uppsala ISFF 2024) and THE VISITOR (dir. Vytautas Katkus), which won Best Director in the Crystal Globe competition at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival 2025.
Her recent credits as an associate producer include Ukrainian-Lithuanian TO THE VICTORY! (2025, by Valentyn Vasyanovych) which won Best Film award at Toronto IFF; BECOMING (2025, by Zhannat Alshanova), premiered at the Locarno Film Festival; SLOW (2023, dir. Marija Kavtaradze), which won the Directing Award at Sundance; and HUNGER STRIKE BREAKFAST (2025, dir. Karolis Kaupinis), set to premiere at Warsaw IFF 2025.
Currently, she is producing several minority co-productions, including the Spanish-Lithuanian MARCH 14TH by Alberto Gross Molo, financed by Lithuanian Film Center. In parallel, she is developing Marius Pocevičius’ feature film I’M NOT LIKE THAT which has received a development grant from the Lithuanian Film Center.
Brigita is an active member of the international film industry. She was selected for the Locarno Film Festival’s Match Me! program in 2023 and presented M-Films at FIDLab that same year. She also completed the EAVE Marketing Workshop 2023 in Luxembourg and TFL Green Film Lab 2023 in Rome. She also participated in the First Cut+ program during When East Meets West with M-Films’ film HUNGER STRIKE BREAKFAST (dir. Karolis Kaupinis), and was selected for ACE Training Days Poland 2024. Since 2025, Brigita has been a member of the Lithuanian Independent Producers Association.
M-Films is also hosting the scriptwriting residency program POP UP Film Residency in Vilnius since 2019, and is proud to be part of this international network, bringing filmmakers from around the world to Lithuania.
