The wait is over! CresCine is pleased to announce the much-awaited release of the Film Industry Data Repository

The Film Industry Data Repository (FIDA) - an interactive data dashboard platform on European film is designed to address the fragmentation of industry intelligence across the continent. FIDA offers a centralized resource for analyzing the complete journey of European films—from festival premiere to streaming availability. And it’s all free!

This launch version introduces a robust VOD visualization dashboard, serving as the first step in a broader strategic rollout. Beginning in January, CresCine will continue to release a new analytical dashboard every week through the end of the project, providing stakeholders with a continually expanding toolkit to assess market performance.

Why FIDA matters to you and industry

FIDA has been engineered to support evidence-based decision-making for producers, distributors, sales agents, and policymakers. The repository offers four primary strategic advantages:

  While commercial analytics often focus on major territories, FIDA provides a detailed snapshot of how films from smaller countries circulate. This coverage enables stakeholders in these markets to benchmark their performance, identify realistic export opportunities, and optimize distribution strategies where data were previously scarce.

• Immediate access to VOD analytics

  The launch features a live dashboard dedicated to VOD distribution. Using aggregated FIDA data, this tool tracks when films enter VOD catalogues, their window of availability, and distribution variances across platforms and genres. Next Steps: The Weekly Rollout

The current VOD dashboard is only the entry point. From January onwards, the weekly release schedule will introduce new layers of data visualization, ensuring that industry professionals have consistent access to fresh insights on theatrical simulation and cross-border mobility.
